We have a position available for a Maintenance Foreman in Buhrmansdrif.
To qualify for this position candidates require: National Senior Certificate. Candidates with a relevant Boiler Making/TMM qualification will receive preference. At least 4 years relevant experience in a maintenance supervisory position. Knowledge of Mine and Safety Act and Mine applicable company legislation. Strategic planning and execution capability skills. Attention to detail. Great time management
The duties expected of the successful applicant are as follows but not limited to: Responsible for assisting with technical audits and inspections: Assist the maintenance manager with conducting inspections. Investigate specific problem areas by conducting root analyses on breakdowns experienced on site. Compile technical audit reports. Responsible for performing site inspections at manufacturing suppliers for the purpose of ensuring quality workmanship before acceptance of delivery. Conduct inspection/audit as per schedule of tools and equipment. Completing and filing inspection checklists. Compiling technical maintenance reports.
Manage maintenance and projects: Manage maintenance project planning needs. Ensure approval of invoices. Keep abreast of technical enhancement in mining and manufacturing industry. Responsible for obtaining quotes for approval and placing orders for consumables. Supervise maintenance team. Responsible for ensuring Mine Health and Safety and general housekeeping.
Responsible for maintenance quality control: Ensure all work instruction and work procedures are being adhered to. Assist with all risk assessment are done, up to date and all new staff are inducted accordingly. Ensure continuous liaison with stakeholders from all disciplines to ensure that projects are completed. Continually revisit and examine projects/work completed and come up with new and improved ways of doing things using new technology and implementing the cost reduction processes. Document improvements and savings.
Basic salary on offer ranges from R 35 000.00 to R 40 000.00 with benefits to be discussed.
