Job Advert Summary
The Instrument mechanician is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of process control systems within a specific area of responsibility to meet the highest specification standards in and around the worksite .
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Certified competency as an instrumentation mechanician – trade certificate
- At least 3 years’ process experience in role or a similar role
Primary Duties
- Conduct daily inspection of Instrumentation equipment’s under his/her control.
- Ensure that the correct tools are used to complete tasks.
- Ensure that all planned Instrumentation maintenance schedules are performed timely and accurately.
- Ensure that materials and equipment are available for the shift’s requirements.
- Assist in maintaining electrical equipment in area of responsibility.
