Rand Water is looking for a candidate who will be responsible for maintaining, manufacturing and installing of pipelines and structural equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent • Qualified Welder • Minimum N2 coupled with a relevant recognized apprenticeship • 3-5 years relevant welding experience • Ability to do relevant maintenance on pipelines • Experience on welding aluminum and s/steel will be an added advantage • Code 10 driver’s license coupled with a PrDP is essential • Preference will be given to applicants with disabilities

Primary Duties

• Maintenance of pipelines & structural equipment • Repairing pipelines • Standby duties • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings • Fabricate/make up pipe work

Knowledge

• General maintenance • Safety and safe working procedures
