Job Purpose
Management of occupational health services and wellness screening services including primary health care, dispensing, stakeholder engagement and providing ongoing reports and management of clinical staff.
Job Responsibilities

- Ability to carry our examinations and procedures in terms of the governing legislation for occupational health.
- Conduct all types of medical fitness assessments: pre-employment, basic, transfer, annual and exit
- Assist with primary health care management.
- Assist with the implementation of clinic related healthcare systems and programs relating a Chronic Illness, HIV, TB and Wellness management.
- Compile and implement a Chronic Illness, HIV, TB and Wellness Management
- Program, which includes testing, monitoring, referral and follow-up.
- Conduct examinations, tests and where applicable, treatment, relating to Primary
- Healthcare, Chronic Illness, HIV, TB and Wellness.
- Management and appropriate referrals of minor injuries on duty
- Performance of physical examinations, spirometry, audiometry, vision screening and highlighting significant abnormalities to the Occupational Medical Practitioner
- Conduct educational campaigns and training to enhance employee awareness.
- Manage the walk in clinics and Mobile Clinics
- Manage and recruit other clinical staff as needed
- Manage monthly reports and audits
- Assisting with the starting-up of new services
- Standby duties
- Travelling to site when needed.
- Conducting of in-service competency and induction training of Clinic Staff
- Ensuring that the Clinic operate within their given budgets
- Ensuring compliance to medicine management and surgical stock control, clinic equipment maintenance/calibration requirements.
- Drafting reports, memos, letters, responses, submissions and presentations etc.
Minimum Qualifications And Experience
- Diploma or degree in Nursing
- BTech in Occupational Health
- Dispensing license
- Current registration with South African Nursing Council
- Minimum 03 Years Experience In Occupational Health
- Computer Proficiency
- Certificate in audiometry, spirometry and vision
- Understanding of the following: the Mine Health and Safety Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Act 85 of 1993, Occupational Health and Safety Management
- Systems and ISO/IEC 17020:201
